Apple iPhones too small to be successful in India?

There are many theories behind why apple iPhone remains a niche player in the growing Indian smartphone market. The heavy pricing is certainly a big factor behind it. But with the older models available at much cheaper rates, it still does not manage to explain the way apple is screwed in India.

Kevin at GigaOM has a nice new reasoning. He says it may be the size (or lack of it in reality) which stops people from India buying the Apple iPhone in mass numbers.

And come to think of it, maybe he makes sense. People mostly prefer larger size. Sometimes a little too much in our opinion, but we dont really sway the market sentiments. Atleast not yet 🙂

Go over and see the article, makes for nice food for thought.
