HTC has announced a very great initiative. “HTC Power to Give” will aim to create a supercomputer by harnessing the processing power of various Android smartphones. This initiative is right now in the beta stage. Let us know more about this initiative.
HTC Power to Give
With this application smartphone owners will unlock the unused processing power of the smartphone as said by HTC. This initiative will help to answer the society`s biggest problems. This initiative has been developed in partnership with Dr. David Anderson, University of California, Berkeley.
This project is said to support the world`s largest volunteer computing initiative. With this project the powerful processing capabilities of a global network of smartphones. One million HTC One smartphones will be working to help this initiative.

With HTC Power To Give, we want to make it possible for anyone to dedicate their unused smartphone processing power to contribute to projects that have the potential to change the world.
This app “HTC Power to Give” can be downloaded from Google Play Store. Users can select a research programme of their choice. To this programme a proportion of the smartphone`s processing power will be used.
The beta version will be only available and compatible for HTC One family, HTC Butterfly and HTC Butterfly S. We all appreciate this initiative from HTC. We will keep you updated regarding this initiative. Till then stay tuned on MobileJury.
