Meet the Nokia X series- Android running Nokia smartphones [MWC 2014]

This is the time that we all have been waiting for. The Nokia Normandy aka Nokia X which distracted us for quite a while is now official!

 If you call this a good news then be ready to be surprised.

Nokia didn’t just launch Nokia X alone. The X comes along with its two siblings- Nokia X+ and Nokia XL.

These phones runs on Android Open Source Project.

Please keep in mind that these phones don’t have access to Google Play Store, Gmail and other Google Services as they are not a Google Certified Project. But don’t you fret, you can install almost any android app on them from Nokia Store, Yandex or from your microSD card.

These phone come preinstalled apps like Nokia Store, Camera, Mix Radio, Here Maps, Skype and OneCloud apps.

 

All of these phones of the Nokia X series run on 1 GHz Snapdragon S4 Dual-core processor. The Nokia XL is the premium model from the X series and comes with a better camera than the other two.

Nokia X

Android runs very smooth on this phone, thanks to Nokia. You still can’t play heavy games on it though due to limited amount of RAM.

  • 1 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor
  • RAM- 768 MB
  • Camera-5 MP AF with LED flash, 2MP front
  • Price 109 Euro
  • Dimensions- 141.4 x 77.7 x 10.9 mm; Weight- 190g

 

The XL is super heavy for its size and even beats the 5.5 inch Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with its weight.
