As the name suggests the Xolo A500 Club is made for music enthusiasts. It has been a while since we saw dedicated music phones like Nokia Xpress Music and Sony Ericsson Walkman series. Who can forget a phone like Nokia 5130 XM?
The A500 Club is available at a price of ₹ 7,249 online. It supports dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) dual stand-by technology and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Its main USP is the presence of dual speakers on the front placed on either side of the display at the top and bottom. This reminds of Xolo Q500 which had the same grille for the earpiece and the loudspeaker.

The A500 Club is made out of plastic just like the other Xolo phones. The backpanel has got matte finish & bears the primary camera at the top centre position with the LED flash just below it.
The right side flanks the power/lock button and the left side houses the volume rocker button. The loudspeakers are located just below and above the display.
The Xolo Q500 Club runs on a factory overclocked MediaTek MT6572 chipset having both of its CPU cores running at 1.3 GHz each. Mali 400MP GPU running at 500MHz is there to allow for smooth transitions and animations.
Based on our previous data and experience of testing phones based on this chipset we can tell you that it is good for normal tasks. Gamers, however, should stay away from it. It doesn’t even Temple Run Oz smoothly.
The 5MP rear camera on Xolo A500 Club is capable of recording 720p movies. We cannot comment on its quality though. The captured images should be good enough for sharing on social networks and Instant Messengers (Whatsapp, BBM etc).
The 0.3 MP front camera is there to make video chatting possible. You can also take selfies with it if you wish so.
The A500 Club sports a 4 inch IPS LCD display having a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The pixel density is 233.24 which is good for a phone at ₹7,290.
You might think that how is it good? Because it comes with One-Glass-Solution technology. The presence of OGS improves the touch experience and makes the text and images looks sharper than it would have been on a regular TFT LCD display.
Before talking about battery backup of A500 Club let me tell you about its battery capacity first. It comes with a 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery which I don’t believe is good enough for heavy usage throughout the day.
If you want to charge your phone in the middle of the day then please refrain from using 3G and GPS for long durations.
For light usage with no gaming the battery holds enough charge to make the phone last throughout the whole day.
If you are a music lover who wants to enjoy music at high volume from the loudspeaker then buy this phone. No other phone in this price segment offers dual speakers.
If you looking for a phone for light gaming then also you can buy this phone.
If you are using this phone or any other experience with it then please do share it in the comments. They will be highly useful to a lot of people.
